deck and driftwood...

Hello everyone,
I've spent the last week playing around with my new laptop and trying to figure out how to get all my new photos imported. Turns out it was rather easy and I was really over thinking it!
As for getting them across to my blog...that's a different story and it's doing my head in!
So... with much fiddling around, I'm here to show you some pics of the new deck my partner has built for out the front of the new room under the house. You remember the one.... the huge space we created by digging almost to China.Take a look here if you forgot or need to catch up.

Finally this space is coming together even though we seem to be making it up as we go along. We purchased some lovely french doors off ebay and my partner picked up a bunch of great timber windows from a demolition yard for a song.
He has spent the last week framing up walls and putting the windows and door in. He then got stuck into the deck.

The area seems so much bigger now and will look great when finally finished.

That lattice will be going, it's currently hiding the water tank... thinking of some beachy shutters!

View from inside!

Needing some time out and away from the holiday crowds at the beach, we took ourselves off to the local lake tucked in behind Sunshine beach and discovered some beautiful weathered tree roots and driftwood.

School holidays are over at the end of this week and we are looking forward to having some space on the beach again...
must dash, I have some Jet skiing to do...

No that's not really me... and I definately prefer kayaking to the noisy Jet Ski's.

Have a great week.
