stripey dilemma...

Hello friends,
A while back I showed you some old directors chairs I had picked up from the tip shop and thought that I would change the fabric to something neutral or black & white.

Since then I have had a change of mind and decided I would like these chairs to be fun and colourful and evoke a feeling of being by the seaside amongst all the bright colours of the beach huts, umbrellas and deck chairs.

I jumped online and found a website that sells fabrics for outdoor chairs and had them send me out a selection of the fabrics I chose to have a feel and a better look at.
Now this is where I would appreciate everyone's opinion.

Firstly let me tell you I have painted the directors chairs in 'limed white' chalk paint, which kind of looks like a very soft grey... there is a little bit of distressing involved too to create a well worn look.
Here are the fabrics I chose....and yes they are all striped!

This one is called 'Shinty'

'Sprinting'

      'Cha Cha'

'Fencing'

 'Boules'

 'Fives'

Ok maybe it will be easier for you to decide if I drape each piece over the painted chair...

I really can't decide...although I have narrowd it down to 3...but I'm not telling yet.

Hope you can help!

  1. I've narrowed it down to three too Bec. I wonder if we have chosen the same three...
    My suggestions:
    Sprinting, Cha Cha, and Fives.
    Any in common?
I'll be interested to see which one you pick.

  2. I guess it depends on where the chairs are going and surrounding colors. I liked Boules as soon as I saw it or Fives.

    1. the surrounds are neutral and we plan on moving these chairs around from deck to grass...so I guess it doesn't matter.
