Today I made what seems my bi-annual trip to Ikea. The fact that there is only one in Queensland and it's on the opposite side of Brisbane to where I am, stops me from frequenting the store more often. Plus if one goes all the time, one can tire of the whole Ikea phenomenon or simply run out of money...
Any hoo... today I revisited Ikea and had a lovely time soaking up all the latest styles and displays which always make me want to go home and rearrange my entire house.
Today there were no furniture or big ticket item purchases ....just $90.00 worth of nic naks!
Here's what I bought.
This very cute little yellow pottery vase will look perfect in our chill out room which is currently adorned with yellow chevron cushions, and two yellow surfboards...
I also had to grab a pack of those battery tea lights.
Two more cane baskets which I get at every visit...as well as green cushion covers for my outdoor cane couch.
Two scented candles made it into the shopping trolley...what can I say, one can never have too many candles and the lime and turquoise colours will be perfect in this room.
An interesting bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling pear juice caught my eye...I may not drink it but it will look great on display somewhere!
3 x plastic lidded containers for storage and this gorgeous aqua coloured cook book on baking was only $10.00.
I'm also loving the two glass milk bottles, which I will surely find a use for.
Now I have that out of my system I feel better...
I generally like to support the small local shops and markets as well as opp shops but I guess once every two years can't hurt.
I hope all your spring cleaning is under way with only 5 days to go.....my goal this spring is to de-clutter...wish me luck.
